Rucka returned to write the screenplay, although Gina Prince-Bythewood has stepped down as director. Instead, the sequel will be directed by Victoria Mahoney.

Mahoney shared, “I was really impressed by the level of collective talent, skill and intelligence that contributed to the sculpting. old guard.
